The cheese monkey

When I look at the title of the article, I thought it would be a story about a monkey. I am still not sure if I understand this article. The author used a very special way to narrate. My favorite part in this excerpt was that Chip uses some interesting way to define some ideas. For instance, “Left to right” and “top to bottom”. I felt I had to use some imagination to understand what the author was trying to express.

This article was very confusing. I have to admit that I had no idea what the author was trying to say when I first read this excerpt. However, after I went back and read the article very carefully for the second time, I began to understand more what was being said. The article was very unorganized because the author jumps from one theme to another. I cannot predict what would be the next thing to talk about in the article. But this article provides me a different way of thinking.

Heresy zone defense

One thing I like about this article is hoe the author passionately talks about basketball. I also like how the author discusses rules in our current society, and how rules are need to make things better. I agree that changing rules helps keeping things from getting boring. The author explains how basketball is restricted but art is not. Even though these two things are very different, but both can be enjoyed.

I found it was difficult for me to relate the article because I have a little knowledge about basketball. I am confused that the author first talks about basketball, but then it switched to talk about dripping paint, then the rules of basketball. I cannot fully understand the connection between the basketball rules and fine art, but this article is easier to understand than the cheese monkey.

Why Is This Man Smiling?
The beginning of this article goes straight to the point. Face is the most important, complicated and difficult part in animation. For animators, producing a perfect face seems to be an impossible mission. The fact is, 44 facial muscles could produce thousands of facial expressions. For animators, nearly everything in this world means something for them. Even a simple glass of milk, could has a set of illustrations. Animators are capable of presenting a glass of milk in many ways by using many different technics. I have never noticed these tiny details in my life. I love how the way this author wrote this article. He uses an unique way of present animation.
Animators in this article are like psychologists, they observe people’s facial expressions and present these expressions on their characters. Writer of this article mentioned that animation is the soul of character. Personally, I believe the success of an animation work is not based on how perfect it is. It should makes audience feel nature and pleasant. Audiences need to be entertained. If the animation work itself were entertaining, the goal of the animation should be achieved.
