Response to Carver's Cathedral

I enjoyed reading this article about a blind man in Carver’s article, Cathedral. I think this is a good story, and I was motivated after I read this article. Even he could not see he does not give up his life. The narrator and the blind man, Robert, are very different man. The husband in the story has a negative personality while Robert has compassion and gentle. The blind man visited the couple’s house. The husband was hostile to the blind man at first, but he changes the attitude toward Robert gradually. At he end of the story, the narrator has a life-changing moment while he was trying to tell Robert what a cathedral looks like by holding Robert’s hand to draw.
I do not like the husband in the article. He was rude and mean to the blind man. I do not think there are differences between people with disabilities and the healthy people. We should treat the handicapped people politely. They conquer more difficulties than healthy people to live their lives.
