Response to Kaprow “Blurring of art and life”

The author is an artist, but some people do not think his artwork count as art at all. Kaprow thinks that brushing teeth every morning, and watching in the mirror his elbow moving up and down, is a kind of art. In the article, he mentions that he paid attention to the movement of brushing his teeth in the morning. He thinks that brushing his teeth is a routinized, nonconscious behavior, and he stated to suspect that his daily life is also routinized, and unnoticed. I agree the author’s opinion. People usually ignore things that happen in our daily lives. If we pay attention to some little things in our lives, I believe we would notice many things that we did not notice before.
After reading this article, I still do not understand why brushing teeth could be art. I still think artwork should be placed in galleries or museums.
